Beginning in 2003, HEALTHSPAN appeared in the Santa Barbara News Press. On a weekly basis, it explored the practicalities and emotional aspects of aging for the recalcitrant Baby Boomer generation. After the meltdown at the News Press, the column moved to the Santa Barbara Independent and also appeared regularly in the Missourian. You will find a wealth of information on your health concerns, both physical and psychological.
Santa Barbara Stories
I live in Santa Barbara, California. I am here, not only because of the incomparable beauty of its location but because of its fascinating people. This city of 100,000 has always attracted people from here and afar bringing a vital diversity, not so much racially or economically, but in terms of dreams and ideas. Fascinated by its history, the people who have grown up here, and the people who have come here, I was pleased to be asked to write a series of cover stories for the Independent on the dream that is Santa Barbara.
Here you will find some essays I have published about my more personal experiences in the trade of life.
